Banyak kerja. Geram betul, sepatutnya ini bukan kerja aku, aku cuma compile saja, tapi since country2 manager tu tak hantar2 lagi & kata kenkununnya figure tu takleh nak extract, padahal diorang saja je nak memperkotak-katikkan aku, kalau malas cakap je la malas. Last2 aku dah boring nak tunggu sebab aku dah bagi masa dua minggu, Jagjeet pon asek tanya je bila aku nak hantar figure tu. Aku ambil inisiatif tanya Hairi macamana nak cari figure2 tu & buat sendiri. Gila banyak, satu donia punya traffic figure aku nak extract beb!!!

Ggrr.... hangen satu badan aku dibuatnya.

Melayu=Buku, Jawa=Buk, English=Book.

Ok, sorry if I bore you, but I can't help rambling more and more about children books stuff *grin*

I would like to introduce you another favorite author of mine, Paula Danziger. You could check her website here.

I love her Amber Brown series to the max!! Her Amber Brown books:
1. Amber Brown is not a crayon
2. Amber Brown wants extra credit
3. You can't eat your chicken pox, Amber Brown (Rather disgusting title eh?)
4. Amber Brown sees red
5. Amber Brown goes fourth
6. Amber Brown is feeling blue
7. Forever Amber Brown
8. I, Amber Brown

I've read all except for I, Amber Brown. One of these days, if I have the money, I think I'll buy these books.

Another books that I still remembered reading three to four years ago, are Tales of Fourth Grade Nothing and Fudge-a-Mania by Judy Blume. I don't really remember the storyline but I do remember the character, Fudge. This toddler is so cute, you can't help but to like him. (Eventhough his brother Peter really thinks he's a real pain in the ass hehehe)

Or perhaps I remember Fudge because his name reminds me of yummy chocolate fudge yum yum.

p/s: i'm having Jacqueline's wallpaper now, oh do be jealous with me girls!

xoxoxo

K.Nor, my sister-in-law, rang me last night. She said that Muiz (my brother-in-law taking SPM this year) asked her to buy him English storybooks to help him improve his English writing skill and then out of the blue she remembered seeing many books in our apartment, so she asked whether it is OK for me to loan the books to Muiz. Such a clever lady. She knows where to find things when she needs one :chuckle:

So, I said OK and began packing the books. Luckily I have those simplified version of the classic such as Little Women, Great Expectation, Oliver Twist, David Copperfield, bla bla bla I can't remember the rest. I was thinking to include my Archie comics collection since it might be much interesting to learn through colorful comics but then I did not want to pollute his clean hafiz brain with sexy sketches of Betty, Veronica, Cherryl Blossom, Midge, and those Josie & the Pussycats girls. Especially when they don those kinky bikinis.

Remind me to put away those Archie comics to places Ameer can't find when he grows teenage

Buku Kanak-kanak.

I had my first encounter with Jacqueline perhaps three or four years back. Don't be amused if I told you I found her in MMU Library. Yup, this library is not all about IT and multimedia stuff. It has at least two whole line of racks for children books which I usually browsed everytime I went to the library. Well, I have to admit, I went to the library not to study but read all those children books and adult novels. It was not uncommon for me to loan two or three children books (the maximum allowed is four) and the librarian usually looked at me knowingly.

So, the last two nights in a row, I revived my memory of Jacqueline. As I wrote in my earlier posting, I had bought Biscuit Barrel & The Dare Game during the MPH warehouse sale. Yuk, yuk, I made my brother full of envy as I brought back the books.

Well, Biscuit Barrel is actually two story in one. The first story is about Tim (the main character) unwillingly goes to the adventure camp, thanks to his persistent Dad. Tim is portrayed as a total loser in adventure, in physical stuff. He hates playing whatever game there is and is afraid of height. Therefore, he hates his days in the camp. But then, he manages to get friends and his adventure. That's all I can tell by now, not to spoil your mood (I know the Ahmad's daughters would like to loan this book hehehe)

The second story is about Tim and his new friends having their adventure during their holidays. Ok, a little hint here, they meet some Deadly Enemies hehehe.

The Dare Game is one of the series of Tracy Becker. I remembered reading few series of her, but my memory is kinda vague. Perhaps I could revive my memory by reading those books Aida & Aini bought *wink* Tracy is mega in everything, well at least, that's what she thinks about herself. She is especially mega is making and doing dare. Sometimes foolish and dangerous dare.

Anyway, I kinda like Tracy. She's so full of fun and wicked remarks, but rebellious most of the time. But then, however heartless she wants us to think she is, I can't help crying during those sentimental part of the story boo hoo. (I hate it when I cried during reading as it will block my nose and I'll have difficulty breathing, how to read then?)

I couldn't wait to read more Jacqueline stuff. Err... Aida, Aini, would you... mind... loaning me the books pleaaasseee... with sugar on top?

Membaca Buku Jambatan Ilmu.

Books I bought at the MPH warehouse sale yesterday:
1. Biscuits Barrel by Jacqueline Wilson
2. Another Jacqueline's book - I don't remember the title hehe tak sempat baca lagi malam tadi.
3. The King's New Groove - for Ameer
4. Secret Garden
5. 5 Ladybird's Let's Read - for Ameer
6. Soft Furnishing

In total, I only spent RM130+ for the books. Sheesh.. I should have buy a lot more books. But considering the accrual expenditure will have to be paid by next month as credit card interest is haram, so I think I should shop within my own capabilities. Hope there will be another book warehouse sales at the end of the year.

Furthermore, they did not have the books that I was looking for, that is:
- Matilda and Charlie & the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl
- Amber Brown series by Paula Danziger
- Kingdom of Dreams and All Heaven by Judith McNaugth

Thanks to Ahmad's daughter (Note: Not my Ahmad OK?), I'm back to my bookworm self. Ever since the birth of Ameer, I only read one comic book per month... so saddening isn't it?

Anyway, we need to buy a bigger book rack since our books, magazines & comics are everywhere in the house. But before that, we need to change the parquet floor since it had been destroyed by BAD TERMITES. Luckily we managed to kill them all. KILL KILL DIE DIE!!!!

xoxoxo

We went to Midvalley during lunch hour, tagging along Lynn who intended to buy a present for a friend of hers, Edry or Di as she fondly calls him. I suggested undergarment *cheeky me* which Lynn excitedly agreed at first and turned the idea down as she browsed the men department. Malu la tu hehehe.

Then we went satisfying our greedy appetite when nobody was actually hungry. Nafsu je lebih hehehehe. We stopped by Memory Lane as Lynn intended to buy Edry a mug, but in the end it was me and Aida who bought cards for our mum's approaching birthday. Aida's 2nd May, mine 10th May. Aida bought one very huge bubblegum birthday card. Bigger that A4 paper, I tell you. Kinda jealous with her but since my mum does not understand English, I had to buy her a Malay-written card.

Our last stop was The Natural Source. It was a very good decision indeed, I shall say. I ended up buying a facial cleanser and day cream for my mum and Lynn bought a bath gel or something for Edry. We had our purchases wrapped, got a nice paperbag each, voila!, our gifts are ready to be given away.

Now that we had our mission completed for the day, we could come back to office with a clear mind and continue working. Ya rite!

Benda kesayangan.

Dibeli satu hari sebelum hari pendaftaran universiti. Beg itu warna biru. Biru macam seluar jeans. Disandang atas bahu. Sanggup pakai kat bahu. Mamat yang makan dengan aku selalunya malu aku buat macam ni hahahaha (eh, mamat mana ni yek?)

Selipar pula, memang malu aku nak cerita.

Dah buruk dah, warna pon dah jadi kelabu. Aku dah jahit bahagian yang terkoyak, tapi nampaknya memang dah buruk benar kainnya, dah koyak balik. Selipar pula, tak tahu mana perginya. Aku beli selipar baru bila dah buruk sangat, sampai bunganya dah licin. Mula-mula aku simpan juga selipar ni, tapi entah mana peginya. Agaknya housemate aku buang masa diorang sapu depan pintu.

(Segmen perasan)

Anyway, sekarang dah bekerja, agak smart la skit.

Monyok.

I had been waiting for two days, and finally he flashed his usual cute smile last night. Phew, what a relief! It was kinda sad looking at his gloomy face, cringing my heart to leave him with his babysitter. So, I took two days emergency leave.

Been trying to console him, trying to make him smile, laugh but no, he won't. He kept on whining, that really made me sad since I didn't know what else could I do except than pray and gave him the medicine. His body temperature went upside down, made me wonder, did he get denggi or something? Hope not :(

He was half his normal self by yesterday afternoon, after three successful attempts of pooing hehehe. (Half normal means being active but still refusing to smile) Guess the antibiotic he took cleanse all the germs in his body and "menyahtinjah" :P

After his one and a half hour evening nap, yay, he's smiling!!!! Back to his normal gay self, smiling, laughing, talking whatever language only he understand, tossing around, rolling over here and there, well well that's my boy.

(Note: gay = joyful, just in case you were thinking about the other meaning :D)

So this morning, I go to the office with a clear and happy mind. (But Ameer did whine and gave his crying face as I left him with the babysitter, poor my baby) Expecting a hectic day though, since I have a dateline to meet but then I haven't got the information I need from other people even though I had clearly state in my email that I need it by yesterday. Hmm.. guess they knew I was on leave. Geez... don't they know that I can check my email and do my work at home?

Well I hope they can provide me the info as soon as possible since Jagjeet has been chasing Zul for quite a number of days. Poor lad. Perhaps I should chase these people more often.

Ahem, miss me these two days eh?

Say goodbye to the bed.

That does it. We're going Japanese. The 'Camel' not only throw his mother out of the bed, but himself! Twice in a row :(

Yesterday I took a leave and sent Ameer to clinic in the morning. At first, the doctor said everything is OK since he did not faint, vomit, turn green or anything, and his limbs is in its supposedly position. But then, when she explained that if he is drowsy after the fall, perhaps something is amiss. Gasp!!

So we went to Pantai to do brain xray. (Before that, me and Ameer had a nice two-hour nap until Lynn called to inform that the GL is ready.. sheesh spoiler betol haha) We were lucky to have Lynn to give us a ride to the hospital. Such a generous lass she is. Yup, still single *wink*

Everyone in the hospital were nice to me, thanks to Ameer. Seems like people will be nice to you if you have a baby in a sling. Plus, the baby is so adorable, people can't help peeking at him.

As I laid him on the xray bed, his face was looking very confused. He blinked at the light and the machine on top him. When I had to position him to his side, he started to panic, thinking that he will be injected with a syringe. Call it needle phobia hehe. The xray assistant was so understandable, and he even run to switch on the machine.

Then we managed to get a cab, thanks to the kind valet (am I using the correct word here?) of the hospital, and back to the clinic. I was quite upset when they said Dr. Mary was not in duty, but thank God, Dr. Wong is as nice as her. He examined the xray result, checked Ameer's eyes and ears. So, Ameer was said to be OK. No crack or whatsoever in his head. Dr. Wong explained that the shock of falling causes Ameer to become drowsy.

Alhamdulillah, that was such a relief.

But his body was quite hot last night. Perhaps because of the running around under the sun. It was quite hot yesterday afternoon. I've already gave him paracetamol elixir, but his body is still hot this morning. Thinking of going back home after lunch... can't help thinking about him :(

Bapak borek anak rintik.

Ina visited us last night. Among her first remarks were,"Geez, Ameer so like Ahmad." Well, we received lots of that comment. Aida had once said,"Muka fotostat Ahmad." So, I presume he will grow up as a handsome lad, just like his father but perhaps with longer legs :D

Notice how they pout their sexy lips? Identical eh? Like father like son :P

Ina: sapa suruh kau ajar anak aku main timang-timang?

Just Rambling.

As I walked along the pavement of our apartment this morning, I met a bunch of pre-school kids who went excited upon seeing me and exclaimed, "Hey, itu Mak Ameer!" And there's one boy, who I assumed go to the tadika only until noon so he never saw me in the evening as I picked up Ameer, waved heartily but at the same time asked, "Eh sapa nih?"

So, I [had to] smiled sheepishly and waved. These kids... they sure are funny, and cute! Can't wait for Ameer to grow up, (and then when they do grow up, we wish they didn't! Irony isn't it?)

Ahmad is already on his way to Baling, I think. He told me last night that his bus will leave to Baling at 10 a.m., and probably will be able to come back home at 2.00 a.m. next morning. That is, if he is able to finish his computer thingies according to his plan. But, you never know what technology has to offer to you. Sometimes, they can be so goody goody, at other times they can be so bad you wanna spank their ass!! (if they have any ass, that is)

But before leaving, he did say that as far as possible, he did not want to stay there overnight. Well, hopefully he won't. Pray to Allah.

He also managed to say,"I'll come back with a new wife." Sheesh, what a joke :P

Anyway, do you know the story of the Arab and the camel? It goes something like this: The Arab had to spend the night in the desert and therefore, he put up his tent. After a while, his camel poked his head into the tent and said,"It's cold outside, do you mind if I put my head into the tent?" Well, well, being a good muslim, the Arab said yes. After a while, the camel said,"It's cold outside, do you mind if I put my neck into the tent?" The Arab once again did not oppose. After a while, the camel said,"It's freeeezing cold outside, can I just sleep in the tent?" The Arab just can't say no. So, both of them shared the small tent. At last, the camel said,"The tent is so small for both of us, would you mind sleeping outside?" and threw the Arab out.

Moral of the story? Do not sleep with a camel hehehe.

Anyway, guess what, the history did repeat himself. I'm the Arab, Ameer the Camel. We have a queen-size bed, mind you but still, not enough for the ever-changing-sleeping-position Ameer. (Since Ahmad insisted on sleeping on the floor so that it is easier for him to wake up in the morning, the bed is shared by me and Ameer only) He keeps on pushing me aside till the end of the bed. And I also have to worry about him falling from the bed. He had already fallen from the bed twice :(

Perhaps we should go Japanese?

New Layout.

No, I don't get Aida's and Aini's lets-change-our-layout-overnight germ. It just that the owner of the old skin, Elizabeth, had probably found out that there's unprofessional blogskin thief that illegally used her skin without her permission and removed it. Oh, shame on me.

So I had to find a new layout. I browsed Blogskins.com in search of a new skin and chose one. After blowing my top over the coding the whole morning, there you are.. my new, as-simple-as-it-can-be, blog layout.

Thank you to Lynn for helping me with the tag hehehehe.

Ahmad & Tini.

So Aini had to ask me how on earth we ended up with each other when we have different personality. Hohoho... of all the questions you can ask me. And to discuss this with her dearest husband some more. Geez... are we becoming some sort of celebrity or what? Perhaps the Malaysian Beckham & Posh (ahem, Ahmad do look like Beckham if he's slimmer and taller while I'm way too eerrr... "beautiful" than Posh) for people to talk about us. Hohoho perasannya.

Lynn cleverly remarked that maybe because we complement each other. Nice answer there Lynn, considering you are still single and searching (single yes, searching? Not!)

Now that Aini had discreetly popped the question, I've been thinking about it too. Hmmm.. why o why? Do I have the answer to that? Well, I don't really know. Do we really differ than each other? Off course la different makcik, me female, he male hehehehe.

Budak, camne nak jawab ni budak?

If you were to ask the 'supposedly' sensitive, feeling feelong me, I'll say love is blind and we are blindly in love. If you were to ask Ahmad, nak ke dia jawab? hehehe.

If you were to ask a mukmin, he'll say that's Qada' and Qadar Allah s.w.t. Even the love that we feel for each other is given by Him, we do not even have any power to lift our own finger, let alone feel whatever feeling we have to other creation of God.

Well, no matter how degil I (and anyone) can be, his is the best answer of all. How can you argue with that?

xoxoxo

"Lelaki yang baik untuk perempuan yang baik."

Itu janji Allah. Janji yang pasti, bukan macam janji orang politik nak pancing undi.

Dulu masa aku masih muda remaja jelita, arwah abah selalu saiko aku dengan ayat ni bila aku nakal, malas solat, suka buat maksiat, tak islamik la senang cerita. Abah memang tere bab saiko2 orang ni. Kalau keluar ayat Quran macam ni daripada mulut dia, insaflah aku sekejap, lepas tu buat balik heeee.....

Kadang2 tu risau juga, aku ni tak baik, habisla dapat suami jahat nanti ngeee takut. Tapi masya allah, kasih sayang Allah s.w.t memang tak terhingga.

Dah tau tak layak, apsal tak insaf lagi? Isk...

Moga Allah merahmati kita dengan hidayahNya.

Menenen Part I.

In response to many cries from mothers who are unable to breastfeed their babies, I feel obliged to jot down a few tips for a successful breastfeeding process, in the hope that they are able to breastfeed for the next baby, and if possible, the current baby.

For unmarried reader, please do not read with that twisted brain of yours or visualize

1. No bottle feeding for the first two weeks
Consider it a total NO-NO. Be firm to yourself and everybody around you not to bottle feed your baby, unless there is a medical reason to do so. This is important, since the method of sucking your nipple and bottle teat is way too different and your baby will get confused. Remember that breastfeeding is a learning process for your baby (even though he is born with sucking instinct) and it is necessary for us to help him during this process by avoiding nipple confusion.

Bottle can be introduced after regular breastfeeding has been established.

2. Do not associate cry with hunger
During the first three days, when the milk has yet to come, parents usually think that their babies cry for hunger and need to be supplemented. This may not be necessarily true. The fat stored in their body is enough to sustain for the first three days and the colostrum (the first milk that your breast produced during pregnancy) is all they need.

The possible reason for their crying is fear. They have been in your dark, small womb for months and the world seems unfamiliar to them. Therefore, do not panic if they cry vigorously. Try as far as you could to calm the baby. Put him into your arm, cuddle and calm her with your soothing voice. Yes, it is easy to get over your top listening to baby's crying all night through, but patience is the keyword. Easy said than done eh?

I believe I do not have that much patience to deal with non-stop crying baby. I salute to those parents who patiently go through this phase. I thank God for giving me a less-fussy baby. Thank you. I can't thank you enough.

to be continued..

The Farting Boy.

Ameer seorang bayi yang kuat kentut. Kentutnya berbunyi kuat, berlawan2 macam keretapi, berbau busuk pulak tu.

Pertama, sekurang2nya kita pasti dia adalah anak bapanya (not that I ever had [18SG] with someone else) kerana bapanya juga seorang pengentut terkemuka di universiti haha.

Kesian dia, asek kembung perut saja. Saya katakan pada ibunya, mungkin dia malu nak sendawa kerana dia seorang girl yang penuh tatasusila.

p/s: but recently i heard the girl poo-ed on her mother's lap hahaha very naughty eh amni?

Explorace Extreme Journey Part I.

I watched Explorace with amazement as Maria and Jerry dashed to complete their task. They really had improved physically and mentally. Jerry was unexpectedly calm during the race, except when his leg cramped. Well, that is apological since he was actually not angry with Maria, but himself. And Maria, as always, handled situation diplomatically.

As for the other two teams, they dissappointed me. I don't like it when Rina and Sanjeev mocked Maria and Jerry at the first task. Yes, Maria and Jerry were quite slow in the beginning, but I think that because they had planned to let Maria do all the task since Jerry is less fit than Maria. (And perhaps Jerry can't swim)

I don't like it when Rina said she hoped Maria and Jerry will lost their way somewhere. Notice how the other teams see Maria and Jerry as their biggest threat, when they are actually a lot fitter?

I don't like it when Fariz attempted to disguise where he found the pole from the other team, but to no avail, thank God. Off course this is a race, but I still don't like their attitude towards winning.

I can see that the two teams were always thinking about winning. As for Maria and Jerry, eventhough winning is the objective, but at least they took it easy. They took effort to connect with their MPV driver, exchanging social conversation with Australian people and had fun along the way.

Sanjeev and Ravin did not even speak to their driver except for giving direction. As for Fariz and Rina, they were lucky to get a helpful driver to guide them. Wonder why luck always come to their feet.

I really hope Maria and Jerry will win this race. They are my favourite as of last night. Hope Jerry will be able to control his temper and a lot fitter for the final race in Malaysia. Maria, you go girl!

I'm sorry Rina, but I don't like your please-look-at-me-i'm-so-cute attitude. Very superficial.

TMBEA Aftermath.

Back to normal. The office was empty when I came at 8.25 a.m. People started coming in after the supposedly 8.30 a.m. office hour. The morning was peaceful. No mad staff rushing doing the jobs done. No tensed look. No panicy executive. No heavily conversation on office work. Everything is in its normal steady pace. Phew!

And my table is back to its stylish eerr... messy look.

TMBEA Madness.

Some calls it tambi, some calls it tambi-ya, some naughty one calls it tambi-ass. Yup Lynn, you're the naughty one.

So, WTH with TMBEA that people in the office were hoohahing over it? We woke up early, made effort to look our best, and arrived at the office at unbelievably hour (read:punctual).

Our morning was chaotic; Aida was printing, Lynn was cutting and glueing, Ina was stapling.

We have the neatest desk you'll ever seen in GB for the whole year. Especially mine hehe.

Me and Ina were even chased away from the meeting by Doc. Yesterday, we were told that co-champion for subsystem 4 & 6 must be in the meeting room. Anyway, it was fun looking at Doc's twitching eyes and disturbed face as he saw me. Haha.

Yeah, he doesn't like me for whatever reason.

But then, we were told that the assessment was cancelled, due to some 'technical' reasons. Sheesh... of all the effort we poured in.

Well, at least there's free food, that we cannot resist.

xoxoxo

Unintendedly, I became the oohs and aahs of the office yesterday, thanks to my old baju kebarung and striking pink tudung. They say baju kebarung is so not me and I look different. The usual me is so sempoi.

I chose that baju since it was the only baju in the closet that does not require ironing. If only Amad is here, he will be ironing the baju for me. Shame on me *sheepish grin*

So this morning, as I woke up earlier that usual, I managed to dig out my old cloth, managed to find a few baju kebarung and managed to iron one.

Guess I'll be wearing baju kurung/kebarung more often. Not!

First Weekend in April II

Dressed Ameer with his baseball jumper, matching hat & shoes and off we go to Midvalley hehe. I decided to carry him in a sling since it might not be practical to use his stroller in public transportation.

As I anticipated, he was extremely quiet while we were shopping. He then slept in the sling which made me feel uncomfortable thinking that he might be uncomfortable sleeping, and we had to rushed home.

Well, shopping is never the same anymore.

However, these are what I bought for myself:
1. Teriyaki WHOLE Chicken
2. Hash brownies
3. Chocolates and ice cream for indulgence :D

See how I shop for FOOD only haha.

For Ameer:
1. Biscuit for his teething gum
2. Potato presser ~ you put boiled potato inside and pressed it, voila! You'll get mashed potato.

xoxoxo

Says who babies are expensive? You could minimize the cost of raising a baby by:
1. Feed him with your boobs milk ~ it's free of charge.
2. Make homemade babies food.
3. Recycle babies thingies with your relatives.
4. If your nonworking parents is nearby, send your baby there.

I, however, am against sending children to their grandparents. I believe that we should not burden and transfer our responsibilities to our aging parents.

First Weekend in April.

He left home to Kota Bharu after Maghrib prayer. Yup, he's either out for tabligh activities or outstation on weekends.

Hehe, my tanduk dah keluar. Esok boleh la jalan2 kat midveli with Ameer *wink wink*

For those who didn't know, Ameer is our 7-months old baby :p

xoxoxo

Amad: Macam mana kalau saya ditakdirkan keluar selama 40 hari (read: tabligh thingies)
Tini: (Isk, soalan tricky nih) Aaaa... dalam taqliq nikah dulu, berapa lama haaa suami keluar tanpa berita?
Amad: Setahun (dengan pantas dan yakin)
Tini: Isk... patutnya dulu tukar 40 hari hehehehe.
Amad: Hehehehe.

xoxoxo

Ameer is sleeping. Fancy how he will sleep right after immunisation. Did they give him drug or something?

1. bald head, I was shocked but thank God he still looks as handsome as before.
2. a cake and my birthday present, I was touched.

He bought me a beautiful handmade embroidery Punjabi suit complete with a shawl, which make me feel bad afterwards. The suit must be expensive, and we shouldn't spend our money on luxury thing such as this, but my whims & fancies about my birthday might have 'forced' him to buy this.

He asked me beforehand if I would want a birthday present and I said no (read: perempuan memang suka cakap berbelit2) and technically he intended to take me out shopping for the present (read: practical engineer) but when I saw him empty-handed, I was furiuos hehe.
